Nationals Convention Information
Pricing and fee information can be found in our fees link in your Dance Comp Genie portal.
Participation in the convention at Nationals is required for participation at the Competition.
Registration must be completed and paid 45 days before the event. After that, a deposit will be required to register.
Throughout regionals and nationals, all ages are as of January 1st of the seasonal year. Age guidelines are suggested above, but performers may be moved by a registered teacher if they want to change their performers age group. Wristbands given out must be worn at all times, no exceptions.

Registration for the 2022-2023 Nationals convention are open now.
Registration must be completed and paid in full 30 days prior. A late fee will be incurred after the cut off date.
Registration packets including wristbands and program books must be picked up at registration.
Convention/Competition schedule will be released to studio owners 10 days prior to the event.
Registering for DTI's Nationals Convention/Competition are subject to all rules, regulations, and liabilities present within DTI's rules and regulations found here and include the following, but are not limited to: holding DTI and/or it's staff responsible for any injury, loss of property, damage to property, accidental or otherwise.
Independent registrations are eligible for convention classes only.
In order to participate at the Nationals competition, you must be registered through a studio.
All studio checks and money orders should be post marked by June 18th. No Personal Checks.
All other payments must be paid online by credit card.

No refunds or studio credits available. This may be changed at the discretion of DTI staff.
One free teacher for every 10 paid student entries, scholarship not includued.
Convention Rules and Guidelines
General Guidelines

Photos and videos are allowed, but that permission can be revoked if the behavior is deemed unsafe or inappropriate. Automatic permission is given by all parties registered or contracted with DTI for the use of media in its promotional material as well as the right to take video, audio, picture, or any other format taken by DTI and its staff or contractees.
Wear shoes and cover ups to and from all classes. Be respectful of fellow dancers and teachers. Be kind and courteous inside and outside the classrooms.
Teacher Guidelines
Teachers are to monitor students during classes. Keep bags on floors, underneath chairs, and against a wall. Teachers must monitor the behavior of dancers and parents. With all things, please make sure your studio is represented as kind, courteous, and respectful.
"Teachers Only" classes or benefits are not available to assistants.
Teachers can take part in the classes. We ask that teachers dance towards the back or the sides of the class.
Assistant Guidelines
Assistants can take part in the classes. We ask that assistants dance towards the back or the sides of the class in our younger classrooms.
Observer Guidelines
Observer passes are limited. Any observer that is a distraction will be asked to leave without a refund. One observer band will be given with Mini Troupers registration. No observer will be allowed to bring in another child or adult with them. Observers may not swap wrist bands. Failure to follow observer rules will void your band and forfeit a refund.
